Pregnancy: The First Ultrasound
On Nov. 11, 2019, Emily and I went in for her first doctor’s appointment of the pregnancy. We were excited, we were nervous and we had no clue what awaited us in that exam room.

On Oct. 16, 2019, Emily went through the IVF transfer procedure.
Nine, anxious days later, she showed up at my office to answer one question: Is she pregnant?

Of the 17 mature eggs that were retrieved from Emily, 15 successfully fertilized. Seven of those survived the first week and were sent off for chromosomal screening.
