BRENT STOLLER

A hopeful, (sometimes) humorous take on the traumas of infertility and pregnancy loss.

Achievement Day

If my wife and I are ever lucky enough to have children, there are numerous policies I’d like to institute.

One of them is a special holiday that’s built on some of the most important lessons I could ever teach them.

The Definition of Courage

Do the thing you fear, and the death of that fear is certain.

I’ll always attribute that quote to my dad, as it’s one of his primary pieces of fatherly guidance.

And while I’ve done my best to follow the first half of that proverb, I’ve rarely reaped the benefits of its second half.

Ask the (Dumb) Question

Don’t be afraid to ask the “dumb” question.

I was reminded of this wisdom today while reading about Malcolm Gladwell in Tim Ferriss’ “Tools of Titans.”

Gladwell, a renowned author, has built his career on asking questions — a skill he learned from his father.

Mission Accomplished

One hundred four.

That’s how many consecutive days I’ve written an article.

Recently, I explained how I’d purposefully kept myself in the dark about where I stood since starting this challenge of publishing for 100 days straight, as a way of keeping myself in the present.

The Spirits in the Sky

Do you believe in angels?

I do.

Well, I think I do.

Or, at the very least, I want to.
